Brian Hazerjian serves as Head Male Counselor and has dedicated more than a decade to youth ministry in the Orthodox Church. He has served as counselor and videographer at the Antiochian Village and is a longtime Sunday School teacher and Teen SOYO advisor at his home parish of St. John of Damascus Church. Having grown up immersed in camp life, Brian understands the role camp plays in helping young people build a strong foundation in the Orthodox faith.

What is your favorite Orthodox feast, hymn, or tradition?
Holy Saturday morning. Christ has risen, and we’re the first to know.

What is your favorite camp activity?
Serenade Night. It’s the night everyone becomes a musician!

What is one thing you hope every camper experiences?
I hope every camper experiences the comfort of community — a reminder that, in Christ’s love, we are never truly alone.

What do you love most about camp?
Camp, like the Church, is a place for everyone.
